Euro RSCG Success at Cannes

There was huge success across the whole network: BETC Euro RSCG triumphed with 9 Lions and there were great wins from Euro RSCG Spain, Euro RSCG New York, Euro RSCG Vienna, Euro RSCG Brussels, H with Euro RSCG Milan, and Cake! Amongst these excellent Lion winners were Gold Lions for Spain’s outdoor Strepsils’ campaign, New York’s radio spots for Dos Equis and BETC’s commercial ‘The Closet’ for Canal+ in the film category.

BBC content-sharing deal goes live

Today the BBC will share some of its online video news content with four national newspapers (The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent and the Daily Mail) for the first time. This landmark deal will allow these newspapers to use content free of charge, and they can choose video material on subjects including UK politics, business, health and science and technology.

Finally, a worthy use of augmented reality

There comes a time in the life of every piece of emerging technology when we get past all the hype, past all the frivolous early implementations, through the trough of disillusionment and rise up into the slope of enlightenment (thanks, Gartner Hype Cycle!). You’ll know when that time comes because you finally start seeing some useful implemenentations of that technology.

Barclays targets young via virtual reality game

Barclays has been working on ‘56 Sage Street’ for six months, having conducted a review of the youth market. The game is intended to help endear the brand to young consumers. The premise of the game is that players arrive in a city with little cash, and must improve their status by using money sensibly. The only time they see the Barclays brand is in a virtual bank. The game takes its title from the address of character Mr C, who helps the player make financial decisions.

Peugeot RCZ has chosen

On Friday 11th June at 1pm the live reveal of the RCZ winner took place on itchoosesyou.co.uk and it went swimmingly. (The winner was a welsh hockey player called Matthew Stollery). The 5-week campaign, created by EHS 4D Digital to promote Peugeot’s new sports coupé model RCZ, generated over 14,000 ads and 8,000 Facebook Fans. We hosted a live Q&A on Twitter with the car’s designer and even managed to get Oliver out in his sandwich board promoting the campaign around the streets of London. All in all, a brilliant campaign!

And the winner is…

EHS 4D won 3 Chips, the most of the night, at the annual Chip Shop Awards for our Guinness ad ‘Kissing Footballers’ by creative Ben Gough. We won: Best Cinema/TV Commercial People’s Choice Award (voted for by the public on the website – 42,000 votes cast overall)
